The Mistress and Her Dogs. The Creations of Olga Ushako

Since I was a child I loved to make gifts for my relatives with my own hands. As I was fond of sculpting from clay
my mother one day decided that it was necessary for me to study at an art school. This was a very good thing and after
studying there for 6 years, I received an initial art education.Later, I sculpted and worked in ceramics, which supplemented my love for modeling with clay. I studied the work of other masters, yet there was a great desire for me to create something that expressed exactly who I was.

My first Yorkshire Terrier toy was created to give to my niece for her birthday which now stands in her room. When I first started to make these toys it took up two weeks but now the average is 5 days but sometimes depending on the complexity of the piece and detail paid to each piece it can take longer. The Viking took a month to complete as this is a very unique piece with many fine details.

I choose to sew dogs because I love their devotion, kindness, sympathy and how they express themselves with their eyes.
Dogs have a way of completing our lives and I always had dreamed of sharing my life with a dog. It was while working on an order for a West Highland Terrier that I fell in love with the breed and now we will be welcoming into home our very first puppy and as you can guess it is  a West Highland Terrier !
